In most shops the cherry picker/crane is only used a few times a month, the
rest of the time it's shoved into a corner and comes to mind only after
tripping over one of the legs - #@$%#^$&!
Well, about forty years ago a small company in Michigan got the idea to
put together a crane that could do more than just be a crane.
By cleverly designing the beast with an attachable lift column in
front of the main post, they have made a very utilitarian lifting device
out of a conventional crane.
With a few modifications you could have yourself an engine stand, a
fork lift, a pallet truck, a hydraulic hand truck, a front end lift
and dozens of other worthwhile lifting devices for your shop, warehouse
or laboratory.
And one particularly nice feature is - It doesn't cost a whole heck of a
lot more than standard heavy capacity cherry pickers!
